Alyssa Ayers had hoped to place higher than her fourth-place finish, but the four-time state qualifier still ends her career as the strongest pound-for-pound lifter in Lady Badger history based on the Malone Formula.
Ayers had the best bench press in the 123 weight class but was playing catch-up on Friday after a tough go in squat. The top five lifters in each class medaled.
