    Ace Whitehead threw 18 strikeouts in a 1-0 district win over Gatesville on Tuesday.

    Carson Bekker scored the only run of the game on a passed ball in the bottom of the sixth.

    Logan Coleman had two hits for the Badgers, and Gauge Gholson had one. Gatesville had only two hits as a team.

    Lampasas improved to 4-6-1 overall, 1-0 in district, while Gatesville dropped to 6-5 with the district-opener loss.
