James Lynn Peachee Sr., 90, died Jan. 30, 2021 at his home in Kempner.
James was born on Sept. 12, 1930 in Bakersfield, California to Seth Albert and Eula Lucille Gann Peachee.
He served his country in the United States Navy for 13 years and was a Navy Seal. After his time in the Navy, he moved over to civil service where he was a plumber, pipefitter and shipbuilder.
James was a man of faith and loved the Lord. He also loved to cook. He enjoyed fishing, scratch-off lottery tickets and his daily shot of Canadian whiskey.
He was known in Lometa as the "lawn mower man" or "Pops."
James was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Peachee; brother, Arthur; and sister, Barbara.
Survivors include his children Daelynn Angell (Lewis), Michelle Marquis (Robert), Debora Watson (George) and James Peachee Jr. (LaVee); son-in-law Barney Corbitt; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and his current wife, Molly Peachee.
Donations may be made in James' name to the Lampasas Animal Shelter.
