2020 saw lowest gas prices in more than a decade

    Texas fuel prices were cheaper on average during 2020 than in 16 years. According to a AAA Texas news release, the state’s average gas price last year was $1.87 per gallon. During 2004, prices averaged $1.74 per gallon. At press time Monday, the average gas price was $1.93 per gallon in Texas and in Lampasas County.
