Lampasas held Lago Vista, a defending 3A area qualifier, to three points in the first half of Tuesday’s home basketball game. The Lady Vikings later cut a 27-point Lady Badger lead down to 15, but Lampasas prevailed 53-36.
The third-ranked Lady Badgers’ 8-0 start ties the 1999 season for one of the best starts in program history.
