Skies over park light up with fireworks

This year’s theme of “Stars, Stripes and Spring Ho Nights” pays homage to Lampasas as well as our nation’s semiquincentennial anniversary. As Fourth of July celebrations honor America, fireworks shows across the country will highlight community, honor and remembrance.

The fireworks show on the Wednesday night of Spring Ho is a well-attended event during the festival. The show begins around 9:15 p.m. after the skies turn dark. Spectators are encouraged to enjoy earlier activities in the park such as Gospel Night music in W.M. Brook Park. Then set up a chair and enjoy the show from any number of vantage points.

“There is not a bad seat in Lampasas to watch the Spring Ho fireworks,” festival chairman Megan Tabor said. “We get started right around dark as soon as the sun sets...Pyrotechnico is the company that does the fireworks, and the show is still sponsored by H-E-B, same as last year.”
