The Texas Department of Transportation Brownwood District will begin a routine sealcoat project in Lampasas on Monday, weather permitting.
Sealcoat is a layer of liquid asphalt that is topped with small rocks. This is applied to road surfaces as preventive maintenance to seal cracks, increase traction and prolong the life of the roadway.
