Arthur C. Bocanegra, 80, of Lampasas, died on April 27, 2026.
Rosary will be recited at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on May 4 at 6 p.m., with visitation to follow until 8 p.m.
The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church on May 5 at 10 a.m., with burial to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Arthur was born in Greeley, Colorado, on Sept. 17, 1945, to Jose and Isabelle (Castilla) Bocanegra.
Arthur was a simple man who enjoyed the simple things in life. He worked for many years at Wieser Mill in Lampasas and then did yard work mainly for the Wieser and Garrett families, a job he thoroughly enjoyed.
Around town, many people know Arthur as “the Dancing Man.”
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Francis Martinez; and his nephew, Joe Martinez.
Survivors include his sister Dorse Tobar and husband Frank; his nieces Rosalie Sanchez, and Janie Garcia and husband Albert; her nephews Martin Gonzalez, Angel Martinez, and Tony Martinez and wife Sabrina; and numerous great-nieces and greatnephews.
