Mrs. Holloman

Bessie Merle Holloman, 90, died on April 5, 2026, at Windchime Assisted Living in Kingsland.

Services were held at First Baptist Church in Lampasas on April 9 at 3 p.m., with visitation an hour prior. Burial followed at Rock Church Cemetery in Rumley. Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel had charge of arrangements.

Bessie was born on March 3, 1936, in Evant to Malcolm and Elma Sneed Kinsey. She grew up in Evant.

She graduated from Evant High School in 1954, and she began work at Fort Hood as a clerk typist. She retired as a protocol officer after 33 years.

Bessie was a member of First Baptist Church and The Daughters of the Republic of Texas.

Bessie married Martin Holloman Jr. in 1957 in Evant. They were married until his death in 1990.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many.

Bessie was preceded in death by her husband, Martin; her brother, Billy Kinsey; and her sisters Lola Cozby and Christene Jones.

Bessie is survived by her two sons, Tommy (Danette) Holloman of Burnet, and David Holloman of Rumley; her daughter, Brenda Holloman of Marble Falls; a brother, Gerald Kinsey of Evant; sisters Charlene Babbitt of De Leon and Wanda Lade of Lago Vista; grandchildren Sean (Aisha) Gill of Leander, Alicia (Seth) Noble of Austin, Ashley Foster of Austin, Shawna (John) Latham of Lampasas, Ashton Holloman of Burnet, Trilby (Cory) Arney of Copperas Cove, Triston Holloman of Rumley and Traxton Holloman of Rumley; greatgrandchildren Layla Gill, Alyssa Gill, Roman Gill, Grayson Noble, Annabelle Noble, Jaelyn Latham, Ava Latham, Anberlynn Amey, Riggin Arney, Rustin Arney, Luna Holloman and Georgia Holloman; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
