Margaret Marie Queen died on Feb. 24, 2026.
A celebration of her life will be held March 7 at 2:30 p.m. at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas. The family will welcome friends and relatives for visitation an hour preceding the service. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Marge was born on May 24, 1940, to Walter “Jack” White and Betty Marie Cooper.
She grew up “on the move,” living in Iowa, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and finally calling Texas her permanent home. There, she met her husband Larry, whom she married on July 29, 1961. They went on to spend the next 64 years raising their children and doing life together.
Marge worked for many years as a licensed vocational nurse, fulfilling her calling of caring for everyone in any capacity.
She was preceded in death by her son, Charles Lester Queen; her parents, Med F. and Betty M. Mullins; and her sister, Crystal Kinsey.
Marge is survived by her husband, Larry; children Rick and wife Shelly, Kim, Randy, and Trayce and husband James; 11 grandchildren, Jacob, David, Meagan, Ricaé, Kristin, Travis, Nichole, Maycie, Alex, Dylan and Larry; 23 great-grandchildren, Eli, Ethan, Elyse, Brooks, Olivia, Asher, Xander, Audrey, Sera, Christian, Olivia, Luke, Beckett, Maryn, Taylor, Allie, Abby, Maisie, Jackson, Aiden, Thomas, Annabelle and Daniel; and many nieces, nephews and in-laws.
