UPDATE at 2 P.M.: Lampasas County Judge Randy Hoyer has opted to close all county officers on Monday due to winter weather. The Lampasas County Commissioners Court meeting has been postponed until Feb. 2.
With a winter storm blanketing Lampasas County, local school districts and municipalities have already announced closures for Monday.
However, Monday’s Lampasas County Commissioners Court meeting is expected to go ahead at 10 a.m., an hour behind its original start time.
LAMPASAS ISD
Lampasas ISD announced at 8:52 a.m. on a Facebook post that classes at all of its campuses would be closed due to inclement weather.
CITY OF LAMPASAS
The city posted on its Facebook page early this morning that all city offices would be closed on Monday. The Lampasas City Council meeting planned for tomorrow has been pushed back until Feb. 2.
The city also provided an update on residents with utility bills tomorrow, noting that late fees will be waived due to the closure, though payment must still be received by Tuesday.
CITY OF KEMPNER
The city posted on social media that the Isenhour/Clark Municipal Building would be closed on Monday as icy conditions are expected to persist. The city plans to reopen with normal hours on Tuesday
LOMETA ISD
Lometa ISD also posted on Facebook that classes would be canceled on Monday due to the winter storm.
CITY OF LOMETA
Lometa City Hall is currently serving as a warming shelter. The city has not provided an update on social media if it will remain open on Monday or not.
