Mrs. Millsap

Barbara Jan Millsap, 86, of Lampasas, died on Jan. 10, 2026.

Rosary was held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on Jan. 15 at 6 p.m, and visitation followed until 8 p.m.

The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Jan. 16 at 10 a.m., with interment to follow at Hillsdale Cemetery in Izoro.

Barbara was born on May 25, 1939, at the family home in Coryell County.

She was faithful to her church and served in many roles at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lampasas. She was proud to be part of the Guadalupanas and enjoyed volunteering at the food pantry.

Most of her career while working was spent with JCPenney’s, a job she really enjoyed.

Barbara was privileged to travel the world with her husband during his military service. She enjoyed camping, fishing and was an excellent cook. Above all, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, and enjoyed spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Darwin Millsap; daughter, Deborah Bean; her daughter-in-law, April Millsap; grandson Justin Millsap; and a greatgranddaughter, Reagan Evans.

Survivors include her sons Donald Millsap and Russell Millsap, and wife Jennifer; a daughter, Jeanette Gallagher; brother, Tommy Rogers and wife Darla; sister, Linda Bartell and husband Fred; grandchildren Raeven Millsap, Ben Evans and wife Natalie, Jessica Ballot, Joseph Mychale Bean and wife Angela, Amanda Marie Case and husband Anthony Walker, Hunter Gallagher, Jared Gallagher, Cole Millsap and Mason Ortiz; great-grandchildren Morgan, Connor and Caleb Evans, Charlie and Oliver Ballot, Sawyer Bean, Isabella, Anthony Jr., Kobe and Isaiah Walker, Maggie (Gallagher) Indick and husband Greg, and Braxton Ortiz.
