Mr. Sanchez

Henry T. Sanchez, 74, of Lampasas died on Dec. 28, 2025, at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple.

A celebration of his life will be held at the Lampasas VFW on Jan. 10, 2026, from 3-6 p.m. Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel has charge of arrangements.

Henry was born on Oct. 10, 1951, to Sylvano Sanchez Sr. and Eluteria Torrez Sanchez.

Also known as “Ricky,” he attended Lampasas High School and proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1971-1977.

He worked as a roofer for many years, was a longtime employee of Lampasas Building Components and also worked in lawn care. Henry was a hard worker who loved being outdoors. One could always find him singing silly songs, cracking jokes and carrying a bag full of candy -- especially Jolly Ranchers.

He was preceded in death by his brothers Daniel, Robert, Johnny and Joey; and sisters Sylvia, Sandra and Maria.

Henry is survived by his daughters Elisandra Torrez of Arizona and Vanessa Sanchez of Lampasas; sons Michael Sanchez, Abraham Sanchez and Vincent (Diamantina) Sanchez, all of Lampasas; six granddaughters, four grandsons and several great-grandchildren.

Additional survivors include his siblings Rose (Bob) Quenomoen, Victoria (Rick) Purser, Richard (Laura) Sanchez, Sylvano Jr., David Gonzales and Allan Sunberg, Sandy (Xavier) Amador, MaryLou Plumley, Dolores Sanchez, Dora (Lonnie) Davila, Sophia Lerma, Jeremiah Sanchez and Elaine Sanchez, along with numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
