Peak travel coincides with moderate prices, mild weather

    On what was expected to be a record-setting weekend for travel, drivers generally saw moderate fuel prices. The AAA Texas Weekend Gas Watch reported a statewide average of $2.70 per gallon for regular unleaded fuel as the week of the Thanksgiving holiday started.

    Nationwide, the average price was $3.10, compared to $3.06 on Thanksgiving Day in 2024.
