Jimmy Charles Lundy, 81, of Lampasas, died on Nov. 3, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family.
A celebration of his life will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on Nov. 8 at noon. After the service, family and friends are invited to a luncheon at Christ the Rock Church in Lampasas.
Jimmy was born on April 18, 1944, in Philadelphia, Mississippi, to Sydney Clay Lundy and Katherine McKee Lundy.
Early in his life, Jimmy and his family moved to Mobile, Alabama, and this is when he became part of the “Roll Tide” cult.
Jimmy graduated from high school in 1962 and immediately joined the United States Air Force.
During his time in the service, he was stationed in Vietnam, Korea and Italy. Jimmy retired in 1983 after 21 years of service to our country, having achieved the rank of master sergeant.
Jimmy’s main passion in life, aside from his family, was watching college football. He was very passionate about the Alabama Crimson Tide. He also enjoyed playing poker, fishing, and was devout in his faith to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Jimmy is survived by his wife of 32 years, Clara Lundy; his children Tammy Thiele, Bonnie and Mike Kwan, and Brian Lundy; stepchildren Shane Peters and Shannon and David Lancaster; grandchildren and great-grandchildren Tiffany, Peyton, Mya, Mary Shae and Harrison Hooper, Matthew and Zoe Lancaster, Presley, and Lexi, Cierra and Luis Valor and Ethan; his brother, Steve and Cindy Lundy; and several nieces and nephews.
