After their first loss of the season to Brownwood, the Badgers had a chance to respond and get back in the win column with a home football game against Burnet.
They did exactly that with a hard-fought, 28-23 victory over the Bulldogs in a game where they never trailed.
The Badgers held 14-3 and 28-17 leads in each half of the game, but Burnet would not go away and kept scoring to narrow the gap.
