Bertram’s 48th annual Oatmeal Festival pays honor to the community of Oatmeal in Burnet County. Launched in 1978 by Ken Odiorne as a playful spoof on chili cookoffs, this weekend event draws hundreds of participants and raises money for youth scholarships.
