Richard Carlton “Budge” Howe, age 83, of Round Rock died on Sept. 27, 2025.
Born May 4, 1942 in Sweetwater, Budge was the son of Richard Lee and Juanita Kathryn Howe. He graduated from Lampasas High School.
On Sept. 12, 1964, Budge married the love of his life, Martha “Marty” Phillips. They shared 57 years of marriage until her death in 2021.
A true jack of all trades, Budge’s career was as a chemist and later with LASLO, where he retired in 2004.
Known for his talent in woodworking, he crafted handmade toys, puzzles and personalized keepsakes for his grandchildren. He will be remembered for his kindness, humor and love of family.
Survivors include daughter Robin Leigh Lindell (Kevin); son Terry Allen Howe (Lori); grandchildren Erica (Josh), Trevor (Caitlin), Avery and Payton; and greatgrandchildren Jaden, John David and Jaxon.
Services will be held at Beck Funeral Home in Cedar Park on Oct. 6. Visitation will take place from 9-10 a.m., with the funeral service to follow at 10 a.m.
