District Clerk Edith Harrison is mentioned in a court document posted Wednesday morning at the Lampasas County Office Building that refers simply to “State of Texas vs. Edith Wagner Harrison,” the Dispatch Record has learned.
Dibrell W. Waldrip, judge of the 433rd Judicial District Court in Comal County, has been assigned to preside in Cause Numbers 25DC11288 and 25DC11289.
Judge Debbie Garrett of the Lampasas County 27th District Court has recused herself, a spokesperson for Harrison’s office said.
Harrison was out of town at continuing education sessions and could not be reached for comment.
A family member on Thursday morning told the Dispatch Record that Harrison declined to comment and referred questions to her attorney, Cheyenne Minick.
Minick is with the Barnhill Law Firm PLLC, whose main office is in Gatesville.
Minick’s office staff said Thursday morning the attorney was in court, and attempts by the Dispatch Record to reach him were unsuccessful.
The district clerk’s office staff said the county office does not know what the charges against Mrs. Harrison are, or when or where the court proceedings will take place.
Waldrip is listed in the court document as presiding judge of the Third Administrative Judicial Region.
When contacted by the Dispatch Record, Lampasas County Attorney Jessica Guy said she was unable to comment on matters that relate to Harrison.
