Gwenlyn Oneta Moore Krause, 95, of Copperas Cove, died peacefully at home on Sept. 4, 2025.
Born in Lampasas on Jan. 16, 1930 to Jimmie and Mytle Moore, Oneta graduated from Lampasas High School in 1947.
She worked as a nurse assistant, head bookkeeper at First National Bank in Killeen, co-owned K&K Meat Market with her husband Arnold for over 50 years, and later worked at Bealls and at Crawford Bowers Funeral Home until the age of 86.
She is survived by her son, Ronnie Krause; daughter-in-law, Brenda Krause; grandchildren Taylor Kelley, Weldon Krause, Justin Mullins and wife Caitlyn; and great-grandchildren Jaxon and Ayden.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Nettleship; son, Gary Nettleship; daughter, Micaela Kelley; husband of 62 years, Arnold Krause; and her siblings.
Visitation will be Sept. 12 from 6–8 p.m. at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Copperas Cove.
Funeral service will be held Sept. 13 at 10 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Copperas Cove.
Memorial donations in her name may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund.
