The Lampasas cross country team went to Belton last Friday to compete in the Pro-Fit Invitational.
Although some runners were dealing with sickness and minor injuries, the team still finished the event with improvements noted in times and a medal, according to coach Kim Burnside.
The varsity boys ran in the 5A/6A division at this meet to push themselves with the competition.
