New city manager chosen, set to start in early September

    After an executive session during Monday’s meeting of the Lampasas City Council, Mayor Pro Tem Cathy Kuehne made a motion to authorize the city attorney to execute an employment contract for the position of city manager, effective Sept. 2.

    Until the contract has been executed, the name of the new city manager will not be made public, city officials said, but the individual will take over for City M…
