Mr. Alderson

Charles Stillman “Tim” Alderson was born on Oct. 15, 1928, at Double Horn in Burnet County, to Luther and Amanda (Bailey) Alderson. He died at the age of 96 on April 2, 2025, in Gatesville.

On April 16, 1946, Tim married the love of his life, Elizabet Jane Kirby, in San Angelo. Their marriage spanned 76 years.

Tim was a man of strong character, known for being hardworking and tough loving. He held opinions he wasn’t afraid to share. He enjoyed working outside and tinkering with items that didn’t work quite right.

Tim took immense pride in his family and always wanted to be surrounded by his sons, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include his sons Dwayne Alderson of Lampasas, Randy Alderson of Missoula, Montana, Myron Ray (Sharon) Alderson of Odessa, and daughter-in-law Sharleen Alderson of Star; brothers L.D. (Sharon) Alderson of Scotts Bluff, Nebraska, and Myron Alderson of Kempner; grandchildren Mitzi (Patric) Reynolds, Cody Alderson (Melanie Sheppard), Kyle (Krissy) Alderson, Michael (Rebecca) Alderson, Sandra (Brad) Crawford, Lyly (Chris) Birk, Gabe Alderson, Bradley (Ysidra) Pike, Travis Alderson and Malorie (Scott) Brugette; as well as 32-greatgrandchildren and 19 greatgreat- grandchildren.

Tim was preceded in death by his wife, Jane, in May 2022; his brother Howard Alderson and wife Marie; son James Alderson; grandson Kirby Alderson; nephew Larry Alderson; sister-in-law Billie Alderson; daughterin- law Marsha Harrington; and great-granddaughter Madison Alderson.
