Mrs. Bledsoe

Sulynn Elliott Bledsoe, 74, died on Jan. 31, 2025, at her home in Lampasas.

Memorial services will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel on Feb. 7 at 2 p.m., with visitation an hour prior.

Sulynn was born on May 1, 1950, in Iraan to Jimmie Franklin and Peggy Hale Elliott. She grew up in Iraan and graduated from Iraan High School in 1968.

After high school, she attended Texas A&I and the University of Texas at Arlington.

She raised her family then began working as a substitute teacher, then for Bank of America, and ended her career as a business owner and operator.

She volunteered within the church and her community. She loved being active in the community, playing games with family and friends, and spending time with her family.

Sulynn married Bill Bledsoe in 1970 in Iraan, and they were married for 55 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandchildren Emma and Camden Bledsoe; her niece, Danielle Elliott; and brothers-in-law Chuck Eaton and Tim Tinsley.

Survivors include her husband, Bill Bledsoe of Lampasas; her children, Lance (Tricia) Bledsoe of Bryan and Rebecca (Cole) Petty of Tyler; siblings Travis (Blanche) Elliott of Austin, Laura Tinsley of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Daniel (Kenna) Elliott of Arlington, Texas; grandson, Colton (Kaitlyn) Bledsoe; great-grandson, Cinch Ryder Bledsoe; and nieces and nephews Karissa Johnson, Cassie McConkey, Mikah Roberts, Rachel Elliott, Kimbra Gibbs and Josh Elliott.
