Michael Christopher “Big Mike” Maldonado, 51, of Lampasas, died on Jan. 29, 2025, at AdventHealth Central Texas in Killeen.
Rosary will be recited at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on Feb. 6 at 6 p.m., with visitation to follow until 8 p.m.
The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Feb. 7 at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Michael was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on July 7, 1973.
He went to school in Lampasas and graduated from Lampasas High School. He enjoyed all sports and played football in high school, was on a swim team in Marble Falls, and enjoyed fishing and watching and playing soccer.
Above all, he loved his children and grandchildren.
Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents, Benita and Louis Maldonado.
Survivors include his mother, Vivian Maldonado; son, Christian Nicholson; daughter, Megan Marie Maldonado (Richard Powers III); a brother, Felipe Maldonado and wife Mary; and grandchildren Saylor Emerie Maldonado and Brooke Anne Powers.
