Elliot Glen Pope, 59, died on Jan. 19, 2025, at his home in Lampasas.
Funeral services will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel on Jan. 26 at 3 p.m., with visitation an hour prior. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Elliot was born on May 21, 1965, in Fort Worth to Philip and Anita Pope.
He grew up in New Ark, Texas, and attended school at North West, where he graduated with honors and was presented a scholarship to attend college. In the North West High yearbook he was voted Most Courteous. He was popular, handsome and protective, and all the boys knew not to mess with his sisters.
Elliot went on to attend Baylor University before meeting the love of his life.
He married Tammie Lee Watson on Sept. 21, 1991 in Burleson. They were married for 34 years.
As a husband and father, Elliot was always available when needed. He was a hard worker, tended to the gardening, home repairs and the drama that came with living in a house full of girls and one son.
Elliot was a boxer growing up and obtained many trophies and broken noses before becoming a Master Electrician.
Elliot was preceded in death by his daughter Corinna Nadine Pope.
Survivors include his spouse, Tammie Pope of Lampasas; son, Elliot John Phillup Pope; daughters Casey Chapman and Allison Pope; sisters Rebecca Pope and Silvia Spears; grandchildren Dante Chadwick, Micah Watson, Dakoda Whitaker, Rory Chapman, Dallilah Whitaker, Levie Whitaker, Paysley Whitaker, Aiden Chapman, and Corbin Chapman; sons-in-law, Daniel Chapman and Lee Hoffpauir; and nephews David Tunstall and Justin Kilpatrick, and niece, Nikki Davalose.
