Robert Michael Aaron Sr., 73, died on Jan. 6, 2025, at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple.
Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church in Lampasas at 2 p.m. Jan. 11, with visitation an hour prior. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mike was born on May 11, 1951, in Monroe, Louisiana to Audley and Margaret Aaron. He grew up in Ruston, Louisiana.
He graduated from Ruston High School in 1969. He attended Louisiana Tech in Ruston, where he received a Bachelor of Science in business. He then began working for United Gas Pipeline as an accountant and worked for various companies in the oil and gas industry until his retirement in 2014.
Mike married Tracey Stephens in 1977, in Houston. They were married for 47 years.
Mike was a member of First Baptist Church. He enjoyed singing in the choir, all sports and being outside working with his hands.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings Len Aaron and John Aaron.
Mike is survived by his spouse, Tracey of Lampasas; his sons, Michael (Carrie) and Stephen (Katherine); his daughter, Elise (Richard) Conner; a brother, Syd (Judy) Aaron; sisters Sylvia (Wayne) Caraway and Martha (Kevin) Bright; a granddaughter, Presley Conner; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
