Joyce Marie White, 84, died on Dec. 21, 2024, at her home in Lampasas.
Funeral services will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel on Dec. 26 at 3 p.m., with visitation an hour prior.
Funeral services in Fulton, Mississippi are pending, with burial to follow at Mount Zion Church Cemetery in Tremont, Mississippi.
Joyce was born on June 15, 1940, in Cambridge Springs, Pennsylvania to Kenneth and Marian (Simington) Mitchell.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts in 1962 from Edinboro University and her Master of Education in 1969.
She taught school at Conneaut School District, Lampasas ISD and Copperas Cove ISD.
On Jan. 9, 1993, she married Albert White, and they were married for almost 32 years.
Joyce was preceded in death by her brothers, Raymond Neil Mitchell and Richard B. Mitchell, and her grandson, Anthony Dwayne White.
She is survived by her husband, Albert; her children, Rebecca Ann Lasko Veroneau and Daniel Kenneth Lasko; grandchildren Andrea White, Faith Moorhouse, Hope Veroneau, August Lasko, Sarah Lasko, Mitchell Lasko, Michaela White and Emily Lasko; and great-grandchildren Phoebe Moorhouse, Samuel Moorhouse and Josie Moorhouse.
