Robin Lancaster, 82, died on Sept. 2, 2024, at St. David’s North Austin Medical Center in Austin.
A memorial service will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas at 10 a.m. on Sept. 7, with visitation an hour prior.
Lunch after the service will be provided at School Creek Baptist Church, 11228 County Road 3420 in Lampasas.
Robin was born on Feb. 23, 1942, in El Paso to Robert and Ruth (Dyer) Price.
She grew up in El Paso and graduated from Austin High School in El Paso.
After high school, Robin graduated from the University of Texas-El Paso and was a Miner fan her entire life.
She then moved to Austin and worked for Austin Independent School District as a homebound teacher where she provided general education to students confined to their home and taught terminally ill students. She specialized in secondary education across all subjects and foreign languages.
She retired in 2000 after 30 years of teaching.
Robin married David Allan Lancaster in 1984 in Austin. They were married for 40 years until her death.
Robin was a member of School Creek Baptist Church and sang in the choir. She also volunteered at Lampasas Mission.
She was an avid daily reader of the Bible and read through it each year for 20 years. She enjoyed spending time with her large family, which included six children, 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Robin was active in her local book club and attended retired teacher activities in Lampasas.
One of her favorite things to do in the summer was to travel with David in their Volkswagen camper van. They went all over the United States and Canada, where they spent time in the mountains, trout fishing and visiting family in Missoula. She also loved watching “Jeopardy” and could beat anyone around her.
Robin was preceded in death by her father, Robert Edmond Price Jr.; her mother, Ruth Dyer Price Fisher; and sons Raymond Lee Fuller and Robert Wayne Fuller.
She is survived by her spouse, David of Lampasas; daughter, Kim Hatton of Lampasas; stepdaughters Amy (Eric) Painter and Lisa Waddington of Temple; stepson, David Earl (Shannon) Lancaster of Liberty Hill; brothers Robert Edmond Price III of Galva, Kansas, and Clyde McCurdy Price of Alexandria, Virginia; grandchildren Doug, Jamie, Randy, Alex, Stevie, Kate, Mary Shae, Nick, Matthew, Thomas and Timothy; great-grandchildren Emery, Faelyn, Joshua and Indiana; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
