City Council approves increase to water, wastewater rates

    At Monday’s Lampasas City Council meeting, members decided to approve a $5 increase to the monthly base rate for both the water and wastewater services within the city.

    Prior to approval of the increase, the monthly wastewater rate was $24 for residential and apartment properties. Commercial properties were billed $28 a month, according to the meeting packet. Those numbers have been the same since …
