Carolyn Ann Rogers, 83, died on Aug. 13, 2024, at her home in Lampasas.
The family will have a small, private celebration of her life on Aug. 31, 2024. Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel has charge of arrangements.
Carolyn was born on Aug. 2, 1941, in El Reno, Oklahoma to Heber Delwin and Catherine Ann (Haney) Goad.
She grew up in El Reno, and graduated from El Reno High School.
Carolyn attended Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, and received a bachelor’s degree in education.
She began working as an elementary teacher, which brought her to Texas. She raised two children and held jobs at both Central Administration and office manager at Foreman Elementary for Plano ISD. She received many awards and accomplishments while working for Plano ISD.
She retired in 2008 after 35 years.
She enjoyed raising her poodles and spending time with family.
Carolyn was a member of the Presbyterian faith.
Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth (Wayne) Hilgenberg of Copperas Cove; her son, David (Edith) Rogers of Sachse; granddaughter, Cheyenne (Christopher) Cage of Muleshoe; greatgranddaughter, Charlotte Rae Cage; as well as numerous uncles, nieces and nephews.
