Mr. Bell

Memorial services for Garland Otto Bell Jr., 76, of Godley will be conducted at 3 p.m. June 13 in the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Garland died on May 22, 2024 in Fort Worth.

Rosser Funeral Home of Cleburne has charge of arrangements.

Mr. Bell was born in Meriden, Connecticut on Feb. 28, 1948, the son of Alberta (Lemke) and Garland Otto Bell Sr.

Garland married Laura Judd on April 29, 2000, in Reno, Nevada.

He proudly served his country in the United States Army and then went on to work in the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, Santa Nella California.

Garland loved trains and was an artist of sketches and pencil color drawings. He also enjoyed working in the yard and loved the slot machines. Garland was of the Catholic faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jeffery Bell; and a greatgrandchild, Maverick.

Garland is survived by his wife, Laura Bell, of Godley; sons Gary Bell, and Michael Bell and wife Bethany; daughters Angela Sutton, and April Puente and husband Leo; sisters Bonny Bell and Melody Bell; grandchildren Corey, Casey, Candace, Desiree, Destinee, Cody, Shane, Tiffany and Kayla; 11 greatgrandchildren; and many other family members.
