David Allen Craig, 73, of San Saba died on Dec. 5, 2023 in Lampasas.
A service will be held Jan. 13 at 10 a.m. at Church of the Hills in Lometa, with Jonathan Williams to officiate. Heritage Funeral Home in Lampasas has charge of arrangements.
His body is to be cremated, with his ashes spread at places of his choosing.
David was born in Rock Island, Illinois, to Eugene and Norma Craig on Nov. 15, 1950.
He attended Rockridge in Edgington, Illinois.
David retired from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice after 15 years, holding the rank of CO5.
He was a veteran and served in the Army for six years, spending time in Germany.
David lived life to the fullest, finding joy in hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He cherished moments with his daughter Pamela, leaving lasting memories for his loved ones.
David was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Phyllis and Hazel.
He is survived by his daughter, Pamela Leisterer; brothers Eugene Craig, Mike Craig, Daniel Craig, Stephen Craig, Franklin Craig, and James Craig and wife Laurie; and a sister, Michelle Connor and husband Jeff.
