Billy Joe Withers, 66, died on Dec. 29, 2023, in Temple.
Visitation will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on Jan. 4, 2024 from 2-4 p.m.
Billy was born in Stinnett, Texas to Earl Dean Withers and Gladys (Rochelle) Withers.
He loved to play his guitar, sing and enjoyed fishing. He also was a church choir leader at Calvary Baptist Church.
Billy was a career mechanic and also drove 18-wheelers and worked for the county.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Sam.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Charlene Withers; daughters Cindy Key and husband David, and Sandi Touchet and husband Jacob; son, Richard Shands and wife Shillo; brothers David, Tommy and Ronnie; sisters Donna and Katie; grandchildren Kayla, David, Karli, Dalton, Ricky, Sam, CJ, Ashlynn and Cera; and numerous great-grandchildren.
