Sally “Mamaw” Dimas, 90, died on Dec. 12, 2023, in Lampasas.
Rosary was held Dec. 14 at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel, and visitation followed.
The Funeral Mass will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Dec. 15 at 2 p.m., with interment to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Sally was born in Lampasas on June 17, 1933 to Mike and Margaret Medina.
She was devoted in her faith and a longtime member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She also was extremely devoted to her family. She was a housewife and spent her life taking care of her husband, children and grandchildren.
She enjoyed playing bingo, having garage sales, playing the slots, praying the rosary and was known as a great cook, famous for her Medina recipes and tamales.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 74 years, Lupe Dimas; son, Ed Dimas; a brother, Frank Medina; her sister, Margaret Duarte; granddaughter, Norma Hernandez; and a greatgrandson, Coben Marez.
Survivors include her son, Frankie Dimas and wife Dana; daughters Cecelia Jimenez and husband Monroe, Patty Rios and husband Rey, and Diane Hibbert; daughter-in-law, Teresa Dimas; brother, Raymond Medina and wife Leticia; sisters Emily Young, Dolores Medina, and Vickie Franco and husband Carlos; sisterin- law, Sherry Medina; grandchildren Julie, Jana, Kurt, Edika, Mystica, Patch, Spinner, Kristen, Bailey, Kamryn, Graham and Joe Rey; great-grandchildren Cody, Johnnie, Cade, Chloe, Phillip, Ashley, Bianca, Tagg, Layne, Krew, Will, Finnegan, Rylee, Elijah, Caleb, Marley and Brady; and a great-greatgrandchild, Casen.
