Consepcion Ybarra, age 88 of Lampasas, died on Dec. 8, 2023.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Dec. 12 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Rosary was at 6 p.m. Dec. 11, with a visitation that followed at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel.
Consepcion was born on Dec. 8, 1935, in Southton, Texas to the late Teofilo Ybarra and Hortencia Galvan. She grew up in Southton before moving to Lampasas with her parents at a young age.
She grew up during hard times where one had to work for everything.
She continued that work ethic into her adulthood and passed it along to her children.
Consepcion was very fond of spending time in her garden and shopping at local stores. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her sisters Consuelo and Pabla Ybarra, and brothers Antonio and Mariono Ybarra.
Consepcion is survived by her daughter, Connie Jass and husband John; niece, Hope Ruiz and husband Richard; grandchildren Ann Schuricht and husband Robert, Lesley Moore and husband Jimmy, John Jass Jr., and Justin Jass and wife Lyric; great-grandchildren Dylan, Mason, Collyn, Kylie, Tristan, Danielle, Jonathon and Finley; great-great-grandchildren Achilles, Declan and Theo; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
