Billy Rowland Craig, 67, of Lampasas died on Oct. 13, 2023.
Visitation will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on Oct. 20 from 6-8 p.m.
Services will take place Oct. 21 at 11 a.m., also at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel, with interment to follow at Straley Cemetery.
Billy was born Aug. 4, 1956, on Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico to Jimmie and Dorothy Craig.
For most of his career Billy worked in law enforcement. He served as a police officer with the Copperas Cove Police Department, Central Texas College Police Department and the Lampasas County Sheriff’s Office.
Billy enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling. He enjoyed life and loved his family with all his heart.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a stepson, Travis Pruett.
Survivors include his wife, Elaine Craig; son, Kevin Craig and wife Beth; daughter, Mandy Hurry and husband Pete; stepdaughter, Tracie Itz and husband Jason; his brother, Jack Craig and wife Brenda; sisters Sue Craig, and Pam Windam and husband Don; grandchildren Katelyn, Anna and Levi; and numerous nieces and nephews.
