R.O. Greer III, 65, of Lampasas died on July 11, 2023 in Killeen.
Graveside services will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery on July 19 at 10 a.m. Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel has charge of arrangements.
He was born on Dec. 31, 1957, in Lampasas to R.O. Greer Jr. and Billye Louise Greer. He grew up in Lampasas and attended Lampasas High School.
After high school, he began a career in the construction industry where he continued to excel throughout his life.
In January 1978, his only son was born and soon became the light of his life.
He enjoyed playing his guitar, and hunting and fishing in his younger years. R.O. loved nothing more than to help others who were in need. He saw the best in everyone and would have given anyone the shirt off his back.
R.O. was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Rebecca Greer Bonnet; and nephew, Kevin Connolly.
R.O. is survived by his son, Rowe Greer and wife Sandy; his grandson, Gage, and Rush Greer; sisters Joan Greer Caskey, Jane Greer and Theresa Greer; nephews Clint Connolly and wife Adrian, Will Stephens and wife Audra, Micah Roberts and wife Marian, Nick Roberts and wife Jenny, T.J. Roberts and wife Michele, Corey Caskey and wife Amanda, Johnathan Caskey and Shelby Hudson; nieces Katie Voss and husband Jamie, and Jennifer Bright and husband David; and numerous cousins.
