Mrs. Wallace

Moon Soon Hahm Wallace died on July 2, 2023.

She was born on March 26, 1928 in Seoul, Korea, and spent most of her youth in Manchuria, China.

After fleeing Manchuria at the end of World War II, she went to work for the U.S. Army during the Korean War and eventually immigrated to the United States with her husband, Everett James “Jim” Wallace.

Moon spoke four languages, was creative and was always willing to lend a helping hand.

After learning golf at a late age and becoming a longtime member of the Lampasas Ladies Golf Association, she achieved a hole in one and loved the game.

Moon is survived by her three daughters, Pamela (Jeff) Kucera, Adele (Mike) Quintana and Lisa (Ronny) Houston; five grandchildren, Clint and Lindsey Quintana, Clay Stephens, and Meghan and Haley Houston; and greatgrandchildren Silas and Eleanor Quintana.

Funeral services will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on July 10 at 1 p.m.

She will then be laid to rest next to her late husband in a private interment service at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas.
