Beatrice Moreno Garza, 102, died on June 26, 2023, at Lily Springs Nursing and Rehabilitation in Lampasas.
Services will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel on July 1 at 1 p.m., with visitation an hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Beatrice was born on April 6, 1921, in Stockdale, Texas to Hipolito Moreno and Amada Garza Moreno.
She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and friend to many. She never seemed to meet a stranger.
Her faith was everything to Beatrice, and she was deeply involved in her church and devoted to volunteering at Lampasas Mission. Many people were brought closer to God because of Beatrice.
Beatrice also loved gardening and plants of all types, and she was known to be an amazing cook.
She was preceded in death by her sons Zaragosa Garza Jr., Jesse Garza and Carlos Garza; her brothers Modesto Moreno and Jesus Moreno; and her sisters Erminia Correa and Pauline Gonzalez.
Survivors include her daughters Amanda Rivera, and Olga Sanchez and husband Tony; sisters Helen Echevarria and Frances Bosquez; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family members.
