Barbara Ann Finnell Butler, 76, died on June 4, 2023, in Temple.
Barbara was born on Sept. 11, 1946, in Lampasas to Edward Finnell Sr. and Susie Hamilton Finnell.
She graduated from Lampasas High School and married Eddie Butler, and together they raised two sons. Barbara was known as a loving and devoted mother and grandmother.
She graduated from Shepherd’s Memorial Hospital Nursing Program and worked as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. She enjoyed reading novels, cooking for her friends and family, and shopping.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sasha Butler, and sister, Janice Burton.
Survivors include her sons John Butler and wife Suzanne, and Nakia Butler and wife Lynette; brother, Ed Finnell; grandchildren Deshawn Butler, Ashley Jones, Ayanna Butler, De’Jon Butler and Nakia Lee Butler; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on June 11 at 2 p.m., with visitation from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
