Richard Joseph Achord, 80, of Lampasas died May 17, 2023 in Lampasas.
A rosary will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel on May 23 at 6 p.m., with visitation to follow.
The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church at 10 a.m. on May 24, with interment to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Richard was born on Oct. 29, 1942 to James Achord and Helen (Gould) Achord in Galveston.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, country music and playing his guitar.
He was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Ramona Aguirre Achord; sons Richard J. Achord Jr., and Eric W. Achord and wife Janelle K.; two brothers; and one sister.
