Much of Lampasas County saw its first significant rain in a month or more on Friday night, just as moderate drought was starting to creep into the area.
Rainfall totals from Friday through mid-morning Saturday, according to the Lower Colorado River Authority, included 2.14 inches at a station 10 miles west-southwest of Lampasas, and 2.04 inches 11 miles westnorthwest of Lampasas.
