Less than 24 hours after justice of the peace Andrew Garcia Jr. officially retired, another Lampasan has taken the helm for Precinct 1.
Former county court clerk Misty Wakeman took over Garcia’s office Friday morning and will complete the remainder of his term.
She had worked with Garcia throughout his 14-year tenure.
