Two county constables seats were filled via appointment Monday afternoon.
The Lampasas County Commissioners Court appointed Bob Montgomery to fill the Precinct 1 constable position.
On Feb. 28, the court accepted the resignation of Precinct 1 Constable Dennis James. The longtime peace officer resigned due to health issues.
James’ unexpired term ends Dec. 31, 2024.
