While cities such as Copperas Cove will hold their National Night Out celebrations next month, not all Lampasas County towns plan to host an event this year.
National Night Out was initiated to increase awareness about police programs in communities, such as drug prevention, Neighborhood Watch and other anti-crime efforts, according to the national website.
