Sip ‘N’ Shop event back with bigger prizes

After a successful debut during last year’s Spring Ho Festival, the Sip ‘N’ Shop event around the downtown square will be back once again.

Sponsored by Udderly Creative and Stermer Law, Sip ‘N’ Shop will take place Tuesday from 3:30-6:30 p.m. Spring Ho Committee member Carrie Shahan noted 15 downtown businesses will be participating in this year’s event.

“We had a lot of really positive feedback,” Shahan said. “The businesses were telling us it was their best shopping day ever, and I think we had over 450 participants. So hopefully this year will be very similar.”

Like last year, shoppers have the opportunity to visit First Texas Bank to collect a 15-hole punch card. This year, punch cards will come with a price, but for a good reason.

“We are charging a $5 fee,” Shahan said. “That way we can generate some better prizes for the winners.”

For a couple of lucky winners, the prize will more than pay for itself.

“We are going to do two gift card books,” Shahan said. “We're going to purchase gift cards from each of the businesses that offer retail and also purchase a bottle of wine from each of the wineries. They will be getting gift cards to go spend money at the shops that are participating.”

Signed up for this year’s event are Lampasas Beer Market, Hester’s Books on the Square, Pretty Little Things by Kayla (featuring M&M Treats and Creations), Moonies Hemporium and Langston Gallery, First Texas Bank (hosting Alamo Coffee), The Other Place (hosting Legato Winery), Bear Real Estate, Udderly Creative, Market on Third (hosting Wellness Refinery), The Cherry on Top, The Dwelling Place (hosting Stoneledge Winery), Edward Jones, Lampasas Texas Title, Stermer Law (hosting Season 3 Winery), and Blessed and Pressed Designz.
