The first sales tax allocations of 2024 continued a trend the city of Lampasas would like to halt. The city recorded a 2% dip in January, its seventh percentage decrease over the last eight months.
Since June 2023, the only period in which sales tax revenues were higher than for the comparable month the previous year was November. Even then, sales were up just 1%.
