The Pierian Club met Sept. 12 in the historic M.D. Abel Co. office building, formerly known as the Manuel Hardware building on East Third Street.
President Alicia Straley called the meeting to order at 4 p.m. Twenty-one of the 22 active members were in attendance, along with an honorary member. Also in attendance was Capitol District President Amy McDaniel of the 36 Club.
