Officials give tips on fireworks safety; retailers selling holiday pyrotechnics

    It’s the time of year when the colors red, white and blue are seen around town on decorations, flags and clothing – and also in the sky via fireworks.

    Over the July 4 weekend, free fireworks shows are scheduled in nearby Copperas Cove and Fort Hood — along with an upcoming show on Wednesday during the annual Spring Ho festival.
